Summer Watercolor

Color exploration –

A refresher, or finish up for those who took it last summer, build skills for those taking the class for the first time. No experience needed.

Creating color with 3 warm New Gamboge, Pyrrol Scarlet, French Ultramarine, and 3 cool Hansa Yellow light, Quin Rose, Phthalo blue. Learn to mix color while having some fun!

As we continue to build our skills –

We will create 8 color wheels to paint, then create a landscape using each colorwheel, Delicate high key, Traditional, bold, Modern, opaque, old masters, Bright earth, Modern low Intensity. for that drama you are looking for in a painting.

Come find out how to use colors and mix colors to match your needs without making mud- love mud colors as the host a depth a color purchased can’t.

Bring your tools and materials from the last class.

$35.00 for class

A materials fee $15.00 for those needing to create a book to house your color charts.

We are accepting applications for summer camp. it is a drop in, but reservations are requested to allow us to make sure we have space for your child.

Mondays at the studio we are continuing calligraphy Mornings 10 to noon with a twist with Broad edge pen work. we will learn the italic hand.

Evening class will continue with the Copperplate style 6 to 8pm. $75 residents/ $85 nonresidents $15.00 materials fee

Tuesdays Book arts. We will continue learning new structures and creating vessels to keep our work in. Mornings 10 to 1pm

Thursday Watercolor for beginners first class we will create a grid of colors to learn what colors we have in our palette and how to mix colors without making mud. we will explore watercolor paint and papers.
